D. Sparano Illustrations

About Me / Resume

I have always felt that art is business and the idea of starving while waiting to be discovered was ridiculous. I am bound and determined to use my skills and talents to make a living in this world. I specialize in hand illustration, not computer. As you can see from my portfolio I work in a number of media. I am knowledgeable with Photoshop; however I only use it when necessary.

I pride myself on never missing a deadline either as a student or a freelancer. Aside from illustration I am also a sculptor, if you are interested in this work you can go to the links page to view my work. My favorite artists are Thomas Nast, Frederic Varady, John Romita Jr., Michelangelo, David Smith and Noguchi.
